If it is something you like doing, I say go for it.
If it is something you are going to hate, life is too short.
I, myself, am angling for a position where I can use my technical experience that does not have a lot of pressure and management responsibilities. If I can find the right job, I don’t think I will ever retire.
Have you applied at any of the local community colleges? They love older teachers. Lots of lifetime experience and seem to have more of a heart for guiding young people, especially those who haven’t known that support at home.
