I admire the desire to do something more about the illegals than just talk. I wish Trump had that same outlook. But you do ask a good question. And sooner or later some group of illegals is going to do that. Walk away. Then what? I can’t see this ending well.

And there’s a second problem. Militias traditionally have been under state control. And it pretty much has to be that way. Otherwise, you’d have competing militias. Maybe one militia wants to repel the illegals. Another might want to protect them.

I watched the one video of the 300 people. They all seem pretty subdued - almost like they were waiting for help, rather than to be arrested. Maybe they are more in the know than the militia?

“Okay so there is the hole in the fence. And even if you are caught, they will take you into town and give you food and water and a place to sleep. Then they usually just release you if you know somebody in the USA. If they send you back - meet me back here next Tuesday and we'll try again.”

I sure hope that isn't the case - although they were all very subdued. No arguing, no shouting, just sitting there waiting, and then walking quietly following the others to the BP vehicles. I suppose they figured they were caught - what is the use. And they know they are guilty.

I suppose some of them might have run off. Not sure what the rules are down there for a citizen's arrest and using reasonable force. Regardless of what the law says, it would be very bad press for enforcing the border if some mom and kid were shot in the back as they tried to flee.
