None of the examples that the Dems cite as countries with “single payer” have single payer health insurance.

Canadians, for example, heavily utilize the private insurance market. Many European countries have freer private insurance markets than the US.

When you write of the “aspects of single payer that are good”, do you mean the fantasy aspects of single payer, or the ones that actually exist in the US, such as Medicaid or the End Stage Renal Disease Program?

The "good" aspects of single payer.
  1. It decouples health care from employment
  2. Pre existing conditions are covered
  3. Ends private insurance premiums for those that choose to not have private insurance and rely on govt single payer..

The right better come up with answers to those "good" things...
