That is a perfectly good reason to exclude Flynn from any position in a Trump administration. And lying about such things is a perfectly good reason to fire someone.

It is not a good reason to jail someone.

The problem is that we have a two-tier "Justice System" in which Democrats have been routinely exempted from laws and rules as Republicans are mercilessly held to them. And we have far too many "process crimes" on the books that are selectively enforced against opponents of the regime in power at the time.

Flynn should walk free because the Podesta brothers were allowed to walk free. Or perhaps we really should have one law for everybody. A large number of Democrats (and quite a few Republicans) would soon be asset-stripped and in jail if that standard held. I am agreeable to that.

On a side note, I believe that Martha Steward should have been acquitted.
