If you study history what you are saying makes total sense.

Great previous posted graphics. Another set of observations has circulated previously, and is relevant to the importance of just 319 sq miles and 5 US counties vs the balanced and sustainable electoral system we have and have had so successfully.

“In their infinite wisdom, the United States’ Founders created the Electoral College to ensure the STATES were fairly represented. Why should one or two densely populated areas speak for the whole of the nation?

The following list of statistics has been making the rounds on the Internet. It should finally put an end to the argument as to why the Electoral College makes sense.

Do share this. It needs to be widely known and understood.

There are 3,141 counties in the United States.

Trump won 3,084 of them.

Clinton won 57.

There are 62 counties in New York State.

Trump won 46 of them.

Clinton won 16.

Clinton won the popular vote by approx. 1.5 million votes.

In the 5 counties that encompass NYC, (Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Richmond & Queens) Clinton received well over 2 million more votes than Trump. (Clinton only won 4 of these counties; Trump won Richmond)

Therefore these 5 counties alone, more than accounted for Clinton winning the popular vote of the entire country.

These 5 counties comprise 319 square miles.

The United States is comprised of 3,797,000 square miles.

When a country that encompasses almost 4 million square miles of territory, it would be ludicrous to even suggest that the vote of those who inhabit a mere 319 square miles should dictate the outcome of a national election.

Large, densely populated Democrat cities (NYC, Chicago, LA, etc.) DO NOT and SHOULD NOT speak for the rest of our country!

And...it’s been verified and documented that those aforementioned 319 square miles are where the majority of our nation’s problems foment.”

Abolishment of the Electoral College would mean a Constitutional Amendment. They haven’t even passed the Equal Rights Amendment.

I have often cited that fact. I do believe, however, voting rights should be reserved to property owning people as we are no longer a patriarchy. We should not, however, become a mommy state as I despise most if not all feminists. They are real whackos.

Repeal the 16th and 17th amendments and the republic will be back.

Don’t give them ideas.

That horse left the barn years ago.

That's been their goal for decades.

Here is what they really want:

Abolish both houses of Congress.
All legislation would be by online popular vote
The Deep State workers remain in place.
We only elect a POTUS by popular vote.

“... because they’re undemocratic, ...”

WE don’t have a democracy; we have a republic.
Libya is a democracy, i.e., chaos with a ballot box.

One of the guys on Red Eye Radio this morning made a very significant statement. He said he is an American because he believes in the Constitution. He was absolutely right. The Constitution is the legal basis and framework upon which all of the laws depend. For all of its faults (as defined by 20th & 21st century power grabbers), it is the most perfect legal document in the world. It set the mark for every other government to aspire to. I first swore to defend it in 1969 and will never back down from that pledge.

Destroy the Constitution and there is NO basis, legal or moral, for prosecution under any other law inside our borders, not even traffic laws or local zoning ordinances. Destroying the Constitution means unleashing anarchy. If any of the Antifa criminal enterprise want to play it that way, Katy bar the door. It's going to get rowdy.

That is a bulls#!t graph. The population of Los Angeles County is 10.2 million in 2017. Michigan alone has a population of 9.9 million in 2018.

We should abolish the Senate and the Electoral College because they're undemocratic,

That's correct. And our form of government is a "republic", with built-in protections for minorities. The Senate and the Electoral College are designed to ensure the representation of all people, not just the denizens of densely populated cities.

Why Not Tear Up the Constitution?

Well, of course, this is exactly what the Democrats are attempting to do. It's very tough to do it legally, so the Democrats are plotting and scheming to find work arounds, which are decidedly criminal. The Democrat Party of the United States is a bigger threat to our freedom than the Soviet Union, Communist China, North Korea, Iran, Al Qaeda, ISIS, and illegal immigrants all together. Fortunately, they are doing a good job of convincing the American people that that's who they really are.

Why would the three stooges of the Dim party have any respect for the Constitution?

Moe, Larry and Curly, i.e. AOC, Omar, Tlaib were mostly foreign born.

A lot of people want to get rid of the Electoral College too so we can get Independent parties. A lot of people hate the two party system. A lot of people here on FR would have probably wanted Perot.

I certainly agree with “hating” the two party system as it exists today. I don’t see how abolishing the Electoral College helps increase the power, visibility, or electability of additional parties.

Back at it pushing lefty ideas again, I see.

You want to get rid of the electoral college because without it we’d have President Felonia von Pantsuit, aka Cankles. Bad orange man would have lost. Gun rights would have been squashed. Free stuff would be flowing to deadbeats and other commie losers.

No conservative wants to have all future presidents chosen by New York City and Los Angeles. The electoral college protects good people from your people and their horrible ideas.
