I see that you have had a few replies. One of my regular sources: Beta-Sitosterol, common in plants - e.g. found in vegetable oil, nuts, avocados - being a steroid, β-sitosterol is a precursor of anabolic steroid boldenone, often abused in sports.

I tried beta-sitosterol for a while because it's supposed to shrink the prostate. I think it worked, but it made my urine (and the toilet) smell so bad that I had to choose between it and my wife.

I now use something that's mostly saw palmetto in combination with Young Living's Ningxia drink, which includes wolfberry (strongly antioxidant) and some essential oils.

:) What little I know of it, I hadn't heard that. Saw Palmetto has long been demonstrated as efficacious in BPH; hard to argue with success. Of course these things can differ from person to person. The beta-sitosterol has been shown to be effective in BPH also. I can see the side effect of disrupting a marriage. ;)

Ningxia is a region in China known for growing wolfberry. Looking it up, I suppose you mean Ningxia Red drink. Does a strong antioxidant help with prostate problems? ...or just general wellness?
