I did some Oil-Testimonials.com research on migraine because it came up on another thread the other day. What I found was a huge variety of oily approaches to migraine, reportedly successful for the individual who reported each combination. Here's a sample of the non-proprietary solutions:
- Peppermint + lavender + copaiba (one drop each)
- Eucalyptus radiata followed by peppermint, massaged into the "sinus points" on the foot.
- Peppermint inhaled, applied to temples and forehead, and imbibed with hot chocoloate.
- Frankincense, around the eyes for ocular migraines.
- Peppermint on neck, forehead, below nose, and on chest and neck, and inhaled deeply from hands for two minutes.
- Frankincense + Idaho balsam fir, one drop each, mixed in palm, applied to roof of mouth.
- Peppermint + helichrysum, applied to temples, base of skull, back of ears, jaw line.
- Basil, inhaled from the bottle.
- Peppermint under tongue and applied to neck and temples.
- Lemon.
- Lavender and peppermint on temples.
- Idaho blue spruce.
There were also a number of solutions incorporating Young Living brand products, Apparently most of the contributors to Oil-Testimonials are YL users.
- Sulfurzyme (a supplement).
- Thieves (YL's all-purpose immune support blend)
- Endoflex (YL's endocrine system support blend)
- M-Grain (YL's migraine-specific blend).
- Aroma Siez + M-Grain + Aroma Life.
- Dragon Time (YL's time-of-the-month blend).
- PanAway (YL's pain relief blend).
- PanAway + Peppermint.
- Deep Relief (YL's muscle pain relief blend).
- Etc.
The evidence shows that there is no consensus oily solution for migraine, though peppermint is the most popular, followed perhaps by lavender and frankincense. If you're interested in digging deeper, here are two searches you might find useful:

I cant thank you enough AZ.
Research like this already compiled is invaluable.
Now this migraine( husband tries to cheer me and calls them mybrain) has passed it is time to accrue supplies and get ready to test in home trials.
Of course I always pray another will never occur but eventually it does happen unfortunately.
Hugs
