Would you mind posting some info about that condition? That would be helpful.

I have some things that help lung function in general; I have asthma and I can share what I have learned and use. COPD also involves heart, right? Maybe you could give a bit of information about the specifics of COPD, and I will be happy to post anything I have found out.

COPD is usually caused by smoking but it an also be caused by chronic asthma. It damages the lungs so that you can not expel all the air in your lungs. It causes shortness of breath and lots of mucus build up which can cause infection. Most people are put on a steroid inhaler and a rescue inhaler as needed.

I was told I had moderate to severe COPD. I was devastated.

I decided I would lose 20 pounds. I lost 35 which was way to much. I got a gym membership and started working out five days a week. I now use N-acetylL-cysteine every day. It is an amino acid and a natural expeterctent. My doctor has changed his opinion and says I have mild COPD. Since COPD is a progressive illness with no cure I am always looking for more ways to keep it under control.

Lately I haven't been able to exercise as much as I would like due to three hip surgeries in eight months. I have just started working out again so I'm sure once I get back to my full routine I will get my breathing capacity back. I am always looking for more natural ways to halt the progression.
