Yes, this recipe is just two vitamins plus a natural amino acid in the most bioavailable form known. For reasons about which we can so far only conjecture, we modern humans need much more niacin than our ancestors did. And niacin seems to do its best work in conjunction with the other two ingredients.

1. first thing - if anyone has information about dealing with long term effects from Lyme disease, please post it, others will benefit.

2. Chemicals in food, clothing, household products etc, and try not to be put off by the “eco” word, “green”, the information is sound.

I should have posted a link to this thread but I forgot about it. I ran into this site looking to see if canning lids had a certain chemical on them. Mamavation is a gold mine for info about bad chemicals in foods, clothing, all kinds of products. PFAS (can’t remember what that stands for) are “forever chemicals, in that once in the body, they do not leave, they’re hormone disruptors and cause many, many health problems. After finding this side, my husband had to throw away all his dental floss, he had just bought a bunch on amazon. I highly recommend this site. They use a lab to test all kinds of prodcuts, not woo at all. First link is to their product investigations, they’re always doing more. I just found that the food processer DH got me (given to him by a friend) is on the naughty list. This site is not just for mothers.

Whether you’re the greenest mom on the block or just getting started, I know you’ll find this blog to be a valuable resource on your journey to dumbing down the amount of hormone-disrupting chemicals your family is exposed to. And don’t worry if you are just getting started because my life used to be full of chemicals, including daily fast food trips, microwaving in plastic, using dangerous chemicals on my skin and smoking. Other than the smoking, I had no idea what those actions could do to my health or later on my family’s health. So I’m not here to judge…just to help you be the superstar of your domicile!

After discovering that hormone-disrupting chemicals are linked to most of the chronic diseases we find in the modern world, I was on a mission to curtail that epidemic in my own family. How do you go about getting rid of all these dangerous chemicals within your home? There was information out there from companies and industry groups, but I didn’t trust most of it.

Over several years, I did hundreds of interviews with scientists, doctors & other professionals, aligned with reputable public health organizations, brought on several advisors and went forth in condensing everything for simplicity so I could share it. The outcome was this blog, our community and my first book Green Enough: Eat Better, Live Cleaner, Be Happier (All Without Driving Your Family Crazy!).

Do you feel like you need an advanced degree in chemistry to be a good mom? It doesn’t have to feel that way when you are part of Mamavation!

We’ve investigated most products in the grocery store for toxic or hormone-disrupting chemicals to make your shopping easier.

When you are ready to make a safer purchase, discover the best non-toxic products on Mamavation.
