I got shingles a few years ago, I knew what they were, I applied some lemon balm tincture and drank lemon balm tea. They started to get a little better and went to my doc (who is a naturopath as well) and she verified it was shingles and was surprised they were not bad and were resolving very fast. She gave me an Rx but I didn’t use it....
