Using Clay Therapeutically

Clay has been used historically for many health uses. Any dry clay will work; my first clay was a #50 bag from a pottery supply outfit. Kaolin does not work well as it is very slippery, it is used for making porcelain. Clays with added sand or other ingredients used in pottery making should not be used. Since clay has become more popular for therapeutic use, it is easy to buy by the pound, and for years I use French green clay which is considered superior. I will post two sources I know of for anyone interested.

This book is the best one I know of, sadly it seems more or less out of print. I have bought 2 copies on Amazon over the years; my first copy I bought at a store in around 1980. No doubt there is info about using clay on websites too.

“Our Earth, Our Cure” by Raymond Dextreit, translated from French by Michel Abehsara.

https://www.amazon.com/s?k=our+earth+our+cure+by+Raymond+Dextreit%2C+Michel+Abehsera&i=stripbooks&ref=nb_sb_noss

The best way to have clay on hand: Use a large glass or pottery bowl, pour in dry clay, and add enough water to cover. Do Not Stir! Cover with a lid and let sit overnight. The next day the clay should be like a thick pudding. If it is stirred when adding water it degrades its use. Keep for use, and check to see if it start drying out, then add some water. No need to stir it.

It is excellent for burns, insect bites and stings, pimples, boils, facial masks as well as more serious injuries like sprains. Helps heal (and take pain away) from fingernails pounded by a hammer or pinched between things (ask DH how he knows), toenails that had a frying pan dropped them, (ask me how I know)... Takes the pain of of insect bites and stings and helps remove the poison as clay has drawing power. Even broken bones can benefit from clay. There are many more uses. I make my own clay based tooth powder and have used it for years; and add to my facial cleanser (recipes if anyone wants).

To use on small areas like bites or pimples, just scoop out with a spoon, and apply. For larger areas, a clay pack is needed. Similar to a castor oil pack but different. I used a clay pack on my left hand when I got a terrible burn years ago. Burns require cooling off first in with ice or best, cold with with ice cubes in it. Depends on how large the burn and what part of the body. First I soaked in icy cold water for maybe two hours, renewing the cold water as needed. Icy water relieves the pain of burns better than anything I know of. Then when I could remove my hand without screaming, I put lavender oil all over it, and covered with a thick clay pack, about ½ inch thick (or more), taped on a plastic bag to hold it all on, and put my hand in a large sock and finally went to sleep, way past midnight. In the morning the pain was gone, hand looked normal, and only a small pink spot was left, slightly sensitive. This was the worst burn I ever hand, the pain was maximum, and the cure was nothing short of miraculous. I would never ever be without clay on hand.

Clay packs can be used on abdominal problems, bruises, sprains and many other issues. For large areas a layer of cotton cheesecloth can put on the affected area and the clay spread on top of that, for easier taking off, and if need be, a new pack applied. I highly recommend the book above, even though not cheap, and Thrift books or other places may have cheaper.

Clay sources
I have gotten from these two sources and Starwest really went up, but this is the retail price. Herb.co is still decent. Other places (I just checked) are very high. You can look around.

I think I will order more clay from the Herb.company as it is good quality and the cheapest around. Everything is getting more expensive and/or unobtainable! I gotta have clay. I’m thinking of posting a list of all the “personal care” stuff I make, and how. Saves a lot of $$ and no weird ingredients. And best of all will take my mind of the horror news.

I have friends who are guiding me and feel pretty comfortable with the YouTube videos by Dr. Berg.

Dr. Berg is very helpful, and not just with keto. I've learned a lot from him.

Neem Hand and Surface Sanitizer

Here’s my “rough” recipe for hand/thing sanitizer. I haven’t made it in a while and I’m out so it’s time to make more. I buy neem leaves at Starwest Botanicals, they are available here and there, I use c/s - cut and sifted, small chopped up leaves. In FL and HI neem tress grow!! (wish wish). Probably other herb outfits carry; maybe cheaper, maybe not. Since neem leaves are very light, a pound bag is huge. Current retail price is 17.75 per #.

https://www.starwest-botanicals.com/category/neem-leaf/

Soak 3 c. neem leaves in 1 1/2 gallons of water overnight.
Bring to a boil the next day and simmer for a short while, 15 minutes or so, with lid on.

When cool, strain into a large bowl and add:

3-4 cups white vinegar
3 t.citric acid (I use this as a preservative, not sure if it’s vital)
3 good squirts of natural non-fragranced dish detergent
2-3 T vegetable glycerine (helps hands not get dried out)
3. T EOs total
Orange
Lemon
Eucalptus
VERY small amounts of:
Thyme
Tea Tree
Cinnamon (real microbe killer!!)

I have a large whisk with many wires and I whisk and whisk this stuff. I pour into gallon jugs - the ones white vinegar comes in, I always on hand. Makes a bit more than 1 1/2 gallons. I usually toss in some Clear Springs 180 proof.

I use this as a concentrate for hands, put in a spray/squirt bottle for when out and about. I use about 3 or 4 pts H20 per 1 part Neem sanitizer. Good for car steering wheel, door handles, etc.

I also use to clean sinks, toilet, or any other things I want sanitized.

Does it sanitize? I did research on essential oils re: microbe killing, not a great number of studies years ago when I did the searches. Most EOs have some anti-microbial action, and some are very potent. I use ones that seemed the best; cinnamon kills at one pt per...MILLION. Thyme and Tea Tree also potent, and all citrus EOs are very good, inexpensive, and smell really nice.

People have commented how good this smells. The smell is not ultra strong so it doesn’t stay on hands long in my experience.

Things I use a lot I like to make a large quantity so I don’t have to make all the time. Also cough syrup (others get it from me too), tooth powder, etc.

And the recipe above is “fluid”, shall I say. I may not make it exactly the same each time. One time I put a bunch of dried oregano as well as neem, as a friend gave me a huge amount of the oregano.

I will be posting more about cancer shortly. I have not used fenbendazole, I used herbs for my cancer. This has a good track record.

Fenbendazole has been successfully used for cancer.

This link has what is considered to be very useful information by those who have looked into this or tried it. Drugs that are anti-parasite, like Ivermectin, seem to often have other good uses as well. Ivermectin has shown promise in cancer treatments as well.

https://www.fenbendazole.org/2019/12/19/what-is-fenbendazole-and-how-can-it-affect-cancer-treatment/

From a FReeper, can try to find person if anyone has questions:

I’m behind in the conversation so please forgive me if I am repeating anything. My cousin was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer earlier this year. Went to MD Anderson and was started on a regime of chemo and radiation. But stage 4 is pretty much a death sentence. He was not a candidate for the whipped procedure because the tumor was intwined in the blood vessels too. After several weeks of treatment, went back for a check up. While the tumor had shrunk some, the surgeon told him there was nothing more they could do and to basically go home and die. He knew a couple of friends/acquaintances that tried Joe Tippens protocol dosage for cancer. It is was he did with his battle with cancer, and is now in remission. (Several videos on YouTube.) His protocol does include Fenbendazole (used in dogs as a dewormer). After that visit, he started the protocol (using the dog form). He went in for another checkup in September and the tumor has shrunk significantly and has started to unwind from his blood vessels. His blood work also showed his cancer markers are in the normal range. As a matter of fact, his chemo doctor (not surgeon) has taken him off chemo and radiation for now. Wants to see what happens. He was told to go live his life. He is actually eating again and has put back on about 15 pounds. My cousin has not told him about what he is doing right now, but eventually will. He goes to MD Anderson for another follow up next week and we are all praying that God is still in control and healing his cancer. My cousin firmly believes parasites cause many cancers. He is a cattle rancher and exposed to many.

I asked Bob this:

***From your knowledge, is the veterinary Fenbendazole just as good as the human expensive kind?***

His answer:
While I have not done the pharmacological comparison, my understanding is that they are identical. It is the veterinary formulation that has been used against cancer in the literature. It is dismaying that the company that took control of mebendazole schemed to inflate the price of an old generic medicine - probably knowing that the formulation was about to become famous as an anti-cancer therapy.

Thanks for this post. I have never had cancer but at my age, anything is possible in the future.

I’m going to make my own Health document in Word and will add this one.

Here is something else.

A really good long time friend of mine was telling me that her adopted mother is Lebanese. She said that Tanini is excellent for opening and clearing the lungs and would be great for me to take for my asthma. If it will work for Asthma I can see promise for covid. Here is what it says about it that caught my eye even though it has a lot of health benefits:

Tahini is a mineral powerhouse which boosts and strengthens the immune system. The high zinc, selenium, iron, and copper content in tahini help fight viral and bacterial infections. Zinc, iron, and copper facilitate the production of germ-fighting white blood cells. Selenium has the ability to support enzymes in the body so that they can release antibodies.

I never knew that about tahini - very interesting! I love hummus, which is ground chickpeas and tahini, and eat a lot of it.
