But Prager contradicts himself because for years his radio program has promoted “kindness” and “niceness” and “civility” instead of fighting. He only reluctantly supported Trump because Trump was the only candidate opposing the corrupt Hillary. This is because American Judaism has been based on the “civil religion” of being nice to those who want to undo the nation. Prager’s radio program had a policy of taking those who opposed him first as call ins. He would always be overly nice to prove that conservatives had the moral high ground. But it didn’t work and liberalism metastasized into Leftism.
Take another annoying flaw that Prager keeps repeating: that tariffs and trade wars will ruin the economy just as the Smoot-Hawley Act of 1930 supposedly resulted in the Great Depression. But statistics show the opposite: GNP has always increased with trade tariffs. But Prager was educated at Columbia University and still clings to Leftist shibboleths.
When facing the emergency of an existential threat a leader of a nation must sometimes do evil to bring about good, but in normal circumstances must rely on conventional Judeo-Christian morality. This is the insight that was given Niccolo Machiavelli, who the Left, academia, Hollywood and “liberal” novelists have mischaracterized as a teacher of evil. But Machiavelli wrote a sermon on “Penitence” and never wrote that evil was anything but evil. But Prager continually says that one must fight evil to be good (”you who hate good and love evil” Micah 3:2). He never recognizes that in an emergency one must use evil and violence to bring about good.
I’ll never forgive Prager for what he did to the great Bob Grant.
