I'm long believed low rank fuels, like coal, should be used for massive power generation. Higher rank fuels, nat gas and petroleum based products belong in mobile equipment.

Exactly. High value fuels should be used in high value applications - mobile equipment, space heating, etc.

Unfortunately, the global warming kooks have completely bamboozled the populace and they honestly believe we can get all our power from pixie dust and unicorn farts.
