Major League Baseball is spending ten of millions of dollars trying to get minority youth to play baseball. They have to be willing.
A few years ago, the Pittsburgh Pirates fielded an entire team of black players from the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, etc. They were all black. Not a single white guy on the field.
The ESPN TV announcer went on to complain that there were not enough African Americans playing baseball anymore.
