Iran
In addition to the Lincoln Carrier Strike Group, four B52 bombers are being deployed to the middle east area / CENTCOM. Big fire power in play.
Iran has announced it is restarting its nuclear program. Issued more threats to American forces in the region.
In possibly related news, SECSTATE Pompeo has altered is European tour and currently is headed toward the Middle East, tracking suggests Israel. May be related to the intelligence of Iranian plans to attack US forces. Could also be linked to the defection of a senior IRG officer that took with him highly classified operational documents.
Gaza/Israel
Cease fire continues to hold, but Israelis are not happy about it. approximately 750 rockets were launched into Israel over the course of a few days. However, Israel is still building up ground forces (again) on the border as a deterrent. The prime culprit is Islamic Jihad - radical supporters of Iran - and Hamas not able to reign them in. Rumors suggest the attack was ordered by Iran.
US Border
Situation is critical. Along the New Mexico/Mexico border reports of drug cartel trafficking dramatically increasing following the liberal democrat governor’s withdrawal of NG troops. Narco terrorist control of the border is a nightmare and could justify punitive military operations by the US. Remember, not too long ago a Mexican military “Patrol” came over to the US side of the border and held US soldiers at gun point - probably covering for narco traffic, as a lot of the Mexican military has been corrupted by the narcos.
N Korea
Facing another famine as crops have had their most significant failure in years.
Venezuela
After being humiliated, Guadio is losing support and trying to find a way for his rebellion to gain traction again. This includes activating an old cold war treaty of mutual defense.
BREAKING
Iran
SecState Pompeo has flown to Bagdad for meetings. The topic of these meetings is not known, but speculation that it may be related to Iranian actions moving missiles in the Straits of Hormuz and related threats to US interests.
RUMINT - Iranian IRGC Cuds Force elements reportedly transferring heavy weapons to controlled areas within Iraq with intent to use against US interests - monitoring. Quality of the source of information is questionable.
Strait of Hormuz - Iranian cargo vessels have been identified transporting anti-ship missiles to controlled islands in the strait and Yemen. Some of the missiles identified include Khalije-Fars anti-ship and Hormuz-1 & 2 SEAD Ballistic missiles. One likely island is also the fortified Abu Musa island and ranging for some of these missile’s listed is in the neighborhood of 300km Some folks look at the timing as one of the reasons the Lincoln strike group has been ordered to get to the gulf asap.
French sources report that Europe is ready to reimpose sanctions on Iran if they resume nuclear development. French Carrier DeGault last report I had was the Indian ocean.
B-52s headed to the region are reported to be staging out of Qatar. A 4th US Navy Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Gonzalez has joined the Lincoln Strike group.
