The ad was written and directed by a feminist liberal woman I'll bet. “Liberal” as in mentally ill. Women have risen to the top at many ad agencies these days and are mainly responsible for this type of stuff hitting the air. Someone at P&G either liked it or ordered it. Very possibly could have been a liberal woman involved in that decision as well.

More likely a wimpy guy, like the Gillette brand manager who could never get the attention of the Gillette Girls shown above. He and his less masculine colleagues couldn't stand to be losers, so they attack the more masculine men that the Gillette Girls were attracted to.
