The SC doesn’t really have hard rules covering this. There is precedent for an absent justice participating from home. It happened with Chief Justice Rehnquist.

There are also cases where justices decline to vote because they weren’t present for oral arguments, but it’s not a rule.

Thanks, I guess they’re willing to do anything to stop Trump. She could die and continue to vote from home and we would not know.
