BREAKING: #SCOTUS denies request to block nationwide injunction against new asylum policy. Dissenters: Justices Thomas, Alito, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh. Bottom line: new asylum policy cannot be enforced anywhere in US while the case is playing out in lower courts.

This means Roberts refused to let the Trump administration jump the lower courts & decide this immediately. It has to play out in the lower courts first.,p>

BCates.....Despite what several politically partisan judges might think, as the head of the Executive Branch, it is well within President Trump's authority to change the asylum policy of federal branch agencies such as the Border Patrol and DHS.
