That’s crazy talk, unless your country is protected by oceans.
Oh, wait. The United States is protected by oceans. So I stand corrected. You’re right. A small, nimble, and lethal US army - backed by a large trained reserve - would work out just fine.
Now, Europe is different. There are no oceans between them and the Russian bear. That’s their problem. Let them raise - and fund - their own armies.
The real lessons that all of you should have adsorbed by now are that:
1. Even our best friends can't be trusted with defending our country - in fact, they'd all like to come here and take our stuff.
2. Being conquered by other countries would suck.
3. Fighting our adversaries should always take place THERE instead of HERE - before they become too strong to beat.
I'm going to throw out a strong guess that at least Leaning Right and Central VA have never graced this country with combat service - am I right? Otherwise, you'd know better than push the paleo-isolationist crap.
