PETA says outrageous things in order to get free publicity.
The noble dairy cow, foster mother to the human race.
From the Hindus of India to the tribesmen of eastern Africa, to the largest dairy state in America (California) to the most humble freehold in Ireland, the daily flow of milk from the domestic cattle herds of the world has fed and sustained us with a perfectly good beverage with which to consume corn flakes, crackers and chocolate syrup, and yielded up butter, cheeses of every variety, and derivative products like yogurt, ice cream, muscle-building whey protein, and at one time, even shirt buttons (made of casein).
Warning to PETA - Be careful which icon of life you attack. You may very well bring the wrath of true fanaticism upon yourself.
I would have posted this if you hadn't. What we need to do is to NOT give PETA the publicity. IGNORE THEM as buzzing gadflies unworthy of notice.
