I thought about this on the way into the office. If we take the Senate, we’re in good shape. That ensures Trump’s future SCOTUS picks will be confirmed. A Democrat house would be held in check, for the most part, as the Senate wouldn’t be so quick to move along legislation, and there’s little chance they achieve a veto-proof majority.

If nothing else, a Democrat House would mean gridlock, and they’ll just bang the drum that Trump is not abiding the will of the people. Then again, we’ve got all chambers now, and there’s gridlock.

I think you underestimate how bad it will be if the democrats win the House. Endless investigations could cripple the Administration’s ability to get things done.

I think we improve in the Senate getting up to 55 or so seats, which makes getting people confirmed easier where one hold out does have so much influence and headline grabbing.

We lose some seats in the House but still hold a 15-20 seat advantage to keep mayhem and chaos at a minimum

Trump wins in 2020 but I think his opponent will be someone not even on the radar right now.

Dem house means not stop investigations into Trump 24/7/365 and zero chance of border $ of any type. I’d rather lightly lose the house than the Senate but it will be a nightmare if Dems take over one of the two.
