Good point. Kavanaugh is a good choice, but he has connections with the GOP establishment that make him tolerable to Graham. I doubt Graham would ever stick his neck out to defend a more "Trumpian" pick.

Still, at least Graham isn't openly siding with Democrats here, as he has done repeatedly on issues like immigration and Confederate monuments.

That's your call, but in my opinion, one good deed, however admirable, isn't enough to outweigh, much less erase, all of the damage that Graham has done as John McCain's mini-me over the years.
