This is an example of how non wartime officer hierarchy rots. A war clears the military’s throat like a cough and spit. Don’t believe it look at Pearl Harbor and the early battles of World War Two. Peace time and politics sucks the good out of the ranks. Trouble is, getting up to speed in battle kills a lot of soldiers. Eisenhower and Nimitz knew who to fire. Fight the ship or get the ph$$k off.
