Instead of trying to course-correct and steer the ship back toward what fans love and enjoy, the creators have been attacking the fans, blaming #GamerGate, calling them “white supremacists”, and labeling them as “detestable”.
Fans have decided that the best way to save Star Wars is to abandon Star Wars, so they boycotted Solo: A Star Wars Story and have now expressed their unyielding drive to see the brand either fixed or destroyed.

Sounds analogous to the situation between the people and the Federal Government.

"Resistance". Gee, there’s nothing even slightly political or anti-Trump in that title...Well, in all fairness, there isn't. The good guys were called the Resistance in The Force Awakens, which was made well before Trump was a contender.

Well, to be fair, there’s a whole lot of Star Wars fans who are boycotting the franchise out of disgust for what Disney’s been doing to it since The Last Jedi.
