A lot of people seem to think that it is just fine for public speech to be controlled and censored by "private" corporations.
When all public speech, with any hope to reach the masses, is censored by "private" corporations, the final destination of their foolish ideas will have been reached.
And our system of governance will have been lost to an oligarchy.
A lot of others think the right to free speech means a right to be heard - even if it means riding on the work and investment of others.
There's a reason people who want to get their messages out have built or bought their own newspapers - for as long as our Republic has existed.
I’m repeating myself, but Bradbury did say (one “fireman” tells another) that censorship began with the people, not the government. Corporations, he would say today.
Pamela Geller on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kc9Gbf1vv_0 among many. Are you saying that Youtube is no longer paying by view? I don't think that's a problem because there aren't that many views so not a lot of money involved.
Are you sayinng we should regulate youtube and force them to pay for views? I can tell you the very first thing that will happen. A whole bunch of leftists and their lawyers will sue to get some of the money. The next thing that will happen, more gradually, is leftists will take over the regulatory bureaucracy and invent formulas that cause conservatives to get paid less than liberals. Or they'll just go full Lois Lerner and push out the conservatives.
She's not being censored.
