Some good Christians, who left a substantial % of their estate to their churches, are probably rolling over in their graves as their Churches turn into liberal tools of hate!
My MIL died over a decade ago. Her parents had been part of the founders of her local Methodist Church. It was a big part of her life until her last 10 years of life. It went liberal and gay.
The ministers never had time to visit my MIL or her friends when they were in senior centers. Their sermons were SJW and not about the gospels. They drove away about 10% of the congregation each year besides the normal passing away of about 10% of the congregation due to their ages.
She changed her will and arranged for her funeral to be held in a local funeral home. She had the local Baptist minister give her eulogy. She left zero money to her old church and gave it to her adult children and grand kids. She suggested that they give 10% to a local charity or families in need.
Her friends did the same, and a couple of years later the church closed its doors as a church. It became a meeting center for locals and is self supporting with volunteers and donations.
We may do the same with our will and trust.
