When I retired from the AF in 1987, I was a member of Space Command. That said, I have no idea what we have out there today.
I hope the Navy takes control. And yes i believe its quite possible this could indeed be the beginning of Star Fleet.
This is a mistake. Instead fold the USAF back into the Army with parts to the Navy. Give the space operations to the Navy. This is just shuffling unneeded flag officers off to a new service.
Also, don’t be the first one to check out strange things on new planets.
The biggest lesson of space travel is taught to us by Tasha Yar.
Don’t try to get all uppity on your contract or a mud monster will consume you in the most humiliating way.
Denise Crosby reflects on that lesson everytime her new job requires her to ask people, “Do you want fries with that?”.
No, the AF spends its $$ on obsolete strategies for exquisitely expensive manned fighters, as useful as cavalary against tanks. This is a backlash against that, much like the requirement that CV Captains be aviators.
Today is Monday but not June 19th.
Calling Drax. We have a job for you.
Drax you bastard. You killed Corrine Cleary. I hate you MM

Speaking of “Moonraker”...There was a battle between US troops and bad guys in space...
Agent 007 got on the Drax’s base and unplugged some system...
Then US and USSR found out that there is some base out in space...US sends troops to space using space shuttles...
When I heard of new space force, I remembered “Moonraker”.
Guardians of the Galaxy popped into my mind ...
Great idea actually.
Funny how the Left are attacking him for being so forward thinking......
Remember to call any Lefty making fun of the Presidents’ suggestion “anti-Science and anti-Progress”.....
