I happen to agree - the ballistics are really compelling. The only problem is ammo availability - you can go into pretty much any sporting goods store and find both .223/5.56 mm or .308/7.62 mm, but you can’t yet do that with 6.5 Grendel. It is getting better, seemingly every month or two, but it still isn’t even close. If I was to get a Grendel-configured AR, I’d definitely only get it with a couple thousand rounds, plus a reloading set up with components for at least many hundreds more, plus at least a dozen magazines...because if the S does HTF someday, you don’t want your rifle to just be a very expensive club.
