There is no easy fix to the “dreamer” issue; often they know nothing about the country of their birth, and if we’re going to take in any immigrants I’d rather it would be English-speaking “dreamers” instead of someone else. If you could stop H1-Bs by normalizing the status of “dreamers”, would that be worthwhile?
Right now they are filling my state of NJ with foreigners who speak no English just to head off ghost towns; I’d prefer the taxpaying “dreamer”. Keep them off public assistance for x number of years, and deport them for crimes...
