HALLALOUA AND PASS THE SAUCE!!!
GO ITALY!!!
FORZA ITALIA!
:^)
Sounds like what the demonicRATs are trying here in these United States against the President whom We the People chose back in 2016.
Ronald Reagan is forever linked to Margaret Thatcher and Pope John Paul II.
Will Donald Trump likewise be linked to Viktor Orban and others like him?
Unfortunately, the road ahead is going to be bumpy for Italy. Italy’s economy is a basket case.
Before the EU, Italys economy was doing great because they had control over their own currency. Having lax copyright and patent laws Italian business could easily copy any Western product. The fact that the government kept Italian currency value low meant those companies could export their low quality, low end merchandise at a huge profit. Then Italy joined the EU and lost control over their currency. With high value currency all those cheap industry products were no longer a good deal and much of Italys industry went away.
Now, the cheap, low end product market has been captured by China, India and a plethora of other Asian powers. So, even if Italy left the EU and got back control over their currency, the cheap, one trick economic policy that worked in the pre-EU days wont work anymore. Also, Italys cost of government is much too high as there are too many non-productive government workers in ratio to potentially, but currently unemployed, private sector workers.
Reforming Italy is not possible without a complete collapse of the current method of socialist government employment. If there is a way back to higher personal lifestyles and personal wealth, it isnt obvious. Italy is that person you know who has made every possible bad life decision and is now past any possibility of redemption.
The problem with "socialist government employment" is that you can bring as many big experts in white coats in to manage and advise and run the economy and allocate resources, but every single one of those white-coated wise guys has kids, and uncles, and nieces and nephews, and as soon as they get their hands on the decision-making apparatus for allocating resources, the first thing they do is start allocating them to help out their own relatives.
It happens in Italy, it happens in China, it happens everywhere socialism is tried.
It's unavoidable, and its the Achilles heel of every socialist economy in the world.
It's the Achilles heel of corporate America too, but under a capitalist system the mistakes are relatively limited in scope. Under nation-wide socialist systems, the effects trickle down to the entire population.
I sure hope he’s right about Italy taking back its country and culture and deporting all the illegal migrants. Sweden too.
I hope the same thing happens in California before it’s too late. It might be already. The entire USA needs to adopt this anti-globalist illegal migrant philosophy and deport them all. Spare none. They can apply to enter legally just like anyone else.
There was a time when Italians were quite socialist leaning. One can hope they learned their lesson from experience and are seeing what is happening in Venezuela as well.
I believe Italy can rebound and restore its sovereignty and culture. It won’t be easy but it is possible. The EU experiment is a failure. Only Germany really benefited. All other European nations had to take a back seat to it and Merkel. Not cool.
I’ve been to Italy a few times. Everything is so old there. Something only 200 years old is considered still new. It is a resilient nation and people. A lot has changed in the last 50 years or so though so you may be right.

The video said that the new government was going to reverse the birthrate problem with more welfare for mothers and free day care. That is exactly the wrong thing. The problem isn’t the need for welfare or daycare, it’s multifold. The economy is bad and people won’t have kids they can’t support. Welfare won’t change that for the people you’d hope were having kids, the middle class. To increase the birth rate you have to increase the size of the middle class and their feelings of safety. Welfare won’t do that. What they have to do is abandon socialism entirely, cut the size of government and taxes. They need to remove the bars to starting businesses, which means doing away with regulation. They need to do, in essence, what Trump has done.
Socialism is a drug. Once you start on it, it becomes self-perpetuating. People who benefit vote for people who promise more stuff and there will never be enough free stuff so each politician will promise even more.
It’s disturbing that the present Pope will be the new government’s worst enemy. It will be damaging for the government and the Catholic Church.
All true. No dissent at all from me.
Following WWII many European nations embraced socialism and the nationalization of many of their industries. The economists and governments of Western Europe went in this direction due to war debt, war destruction of infrastructure and limited post-war resources. One could argue that socialism helped Western Europe recover from WWII. The dark side of socialism is loss of individual freedoms for the promises of the collective. Can you say democrat party.
The heavy hand of the EU over the countries it rules is proving that 'more socialism' is a road to avoid. Although the peasants are starting to rebel, history tells us that governments do not give up power without a fight and generally that fight is bloody.
Not to worry, the globalists can always start another war to disrupt the populist momentum. Isnt that what they always do?
