Jarret is NOT “African-American”. She is Iranian.

Very predictable. As was the show’s cancellation, at least until she REALLY grovels.

Much, way too much ado about nothing. Rosanne is entitled to her personal beliefs as we all are.
Ya done good Rosanne. Smack ‘em again.

Yeah, how incredibly insensitive to apes everywhere...they just wish to be left alone to eat, sleep and screw - as opposed to ruling every other ape on the planet.

Jarrett is not an ape. IMHO, she is one of the lizard people from another planet.

This is the problem with Twitter. You’ve typed your thoughts for the world to see before your brain engages. Saying you’re sorry isn’t going to stop the avalanche of (deserved) bad PR that comes from something like this. And she can’t say that she didn’t expect it — people posting without thinking on Twitter happens over and over and over and over again.

If Roseanne Barr had said the exact same thing about Ben Carson that she said about Valerie Jarrett, not only would her show still be on the air, ti would have been renewed for another two seasons already — and every “woke” “progressive” would be fervently defending her. No question about it.

There are no apes featured in the Star Wars franchise. There are Wookiees, and they are mythical. It would be like comparing someone to a unicorn or a cherub. The racism charge is a false charge used to persuade the unthoughtful to outrage to provide the political cover for destruction of Rosannes career.

I remember Planet of the Apes was hailed by the critics as a great social commentary. In case any one interested this is from the Library of Congress and is an interesting read.
Planet of the Apes emerged as a troubling movie for a troubling time. Most obviously, the movie presented a chilling allegory on the subject of racial conflict, highlighting the injustices of Americas slave past, while also speaking to the struggle for Civil Rights in the contemporary period. A black archetype trapped in a white skin,

Never complain and never explain.
There are all kinds of speech, bad and good. But then you have one group of people putting themselves up as the arbiter of which is which then we have all manner of problems.
ABC to curt their noses to spite themselves canceled their highest rated comedy show, one they desperately need on the program schedule because of PC and their own stupidity.
I will not be surprised if someone, even Netflix picks up the show.

Comparing ValJar to an ape is an insult to intelligent lesser and great apes everywhere!
She’s evil, the apes aren’t.

Remember when the libs compared GW Bush to a chimpanzee? There was no “outrage” from media about that. The old-monkey to man descendancy argument does not discriminate at to race, but apparently the “blacks” identify with the use of their color to give emphasis to the bigotted comments.
