If you want to mix male and female teenagers in a closed environment, certain rules must be followed. Myself, I think it is foolish for boys and girls to be going to the same schools. The classroom is to learn certain subjects, not to “socialize” people, which is the #1 answer given if you bring this up. On the other hand, there may not even be a #2 most likely answer.
My high school was all boys for my first three years and girls were admitted for my senior year. I finished in the top ten percent of my class in each of my first three years. I barely cracked the top half in my senior year. It wasn't because the girls were smarter than I was. They were simply a distraction that I did not find conducive to a pursuit of academic excellence. :-)
Both genders would get beter educations in separate schools.
