The Mafia was protected, in some part, by the shyster Jewish lawyers of New York City and Boston, but they were no more welcome than MS-13 when they arrived in this country. Not all Italians, nor even all Sicilians, were Mafia, but like MS-13, they circulated in and through those communities, first terrorizing their own, then expanding their scope of operations with the protective coloration and the political deals run through the various city councils.
And yes, the Jewish community has its own bad actors, alternating between practice of politics and flouting the law. They studied law only to find the loopholes.

Most lawyers in the past 20-30 years after going to law school only studied and practiced law via the loop holes or decreeing SJW bs as laws.
