:) Thanks for asking :) ..... Funny enough. my hubs was laid off shortly after that post and we lost health insurance. We decided to buy a plan on the NY Marketplace/Exchange - whatever it’s called. We are both still out of work. We qualify for a subsidy but would be shoved into Medicaid, and we believe liens would be placed on our properties because we’re between 55 and 65 - that is a whole nother complicated mess. Unwilling to go there, we (perhaps foolishly) decided to buy the cheapest plan, which is $800+ a month, with $6500 - each - deductible, and 50% copays if we reach the deductible. Our savings are being spent down, there is no money for cataract surgery. The dog chewed my glasses and they are being held together with tape. I can’t drive at night. Things are getting desperate and depressing. Wondering what the hell to do. We sure do need a Christmas miracle - several of them in fact. Bleak and bad, sad and mean, dark and low. All I do now is reflect on every bad decision I ever made that got me to this minute.
But .... this is the day the Lord has made, eh? :) Be well, be blessed.
