My son is working between college as a cement flooring specialist for a small firm

The owner told him tonight if was willing to run a crew he’d buy another truck and gear and put him in charge of it and if the workload kept up he could see over 100,000 next year his share

We’re in middle tennessee experiencing a SoCal 1950s level housing etc boom

This guy who’s a a good man is heavily connected with home builders here

They do basements and driveway and some commercial work too and my boy just got back from doing some work at a fancy duck camp in the Arkansas delta

It’s a pretty good opportunity

He’s 18 and three months out of high school...making around 40,000 now and they work a lot

He could technically still be a teen and make 100,000 a year without dealing drugs

God bless America

It’s his choice....even though I’ve got a BS I’ve soured on college unless you focus on something that you need it for

MD,JD, MBA for M&A or code writing or IT or engineering etc

Not English for Gods sake or poli sci como yo lo hice

Picking up a business education while he works would be my choice. Then he would be able to run his own business. I see no benefit in spending time and money on college unless you have a distinct career that requires it. Medicine. Engineering. Well, it might also be useful for meeting hot coeds but I dunno if you need to actually be going to school to do that.
