The UN should oversee a joint effort by the oil wealthy countries in the ME. Put the safe zone in Dubai - lots of money there to throw around. Put it in Saudi Arabia. Just don’t put it anywhere neighboring Israel, or it will NOT be a safe zone for them.

If you think the UN is capable of any organized beneficial action, you just are living in the past, like, say, 1946.
