Obama proved that. He likely had deep intel on all of them, which may also be why he could not get anything passed in Congress after Obama care. It worked only once, but did it ever work.
A friend from the middle east explained it to me years ago. He said Arabs understood 'bribes' and weren't quibbling on that point - but that Americans were rude in their acceptance of bribes.
He said Arabs didn't mind paying off American 'bigs' as they might need a 'big favor' in return, but they resented every 'retired' military person, contractor, 'law enforcement types etc showing up to 'give a speech'.
Why was it so offensive?
Because of the silly games involved.
People in the Middle East had to hire people to sit in these rooms and pretend to listen... most of them didn't even speak English. People over there felt Americans were just as dirty as the worst in the world - and they resented the 'games'...
When Billy and Hillary were over there cleaning up - with our corrupt 'intelligence services' watching - were YOU offended IamConservative? Did you get sick to your stomach when you realized the grifter Clintons lowered the bar so much that half of Washington was over there 'speeching'?
And I'm suppose to be worried about the Deep State crooks finding a way to prove Trump jay walked? What a filthy country liberals have given us...
