As has been said, where would you like to sit a grand jury? D.C. or Utah?
Had dinner last night with a former high level FBI who a high ranking official with internal affairs. He retired because he was disgusted with what he saw going on. He knows McCabe and the whole cabal says they are all traitors. He also knows Horowitz and Huber and says they are on the level and that the whole rotten cabal is running scared. What is contended here in this post is not accurate.
Also he said that the results of the IG will come out very soon and there is pressure coming from enough powerful places to seat a Special Counsel if the indictments coming do not go far enough.
What is really going on with AG Sessions.
Good old boy club member protection other members it’s how you stay in the club think Hollywood.
You get along to go along.
What you want is a US Attorney to act like a US attorney. That is the job of the US attorneys Now if you think Huber isn't doing his job and is dragging his feet, then that will become a very valid criticism in the not very distant future.
And furthermore, if Sessions tells Huber that he works with the IG and he reports directly to Sessions, then Rosenstein is cut out of it. It is a chain of command like every other chain of command. Everyone works for the head boss and he can set up exceptional reporting rules any time he wants. The law is quite clear on this:
28 U.S. Code § 509 "All functions of other officers of the Department of Justice and all functions of agencies and employees of the Department of Justice are vested in the Attorney General except [the functions of administrative law judges in the DOJ, the Federal Prison Industries, Inc and the BOD thereof.]
