Rewarding your foes and betraying your friends is not a recipe for poltical success.
Trump is not god, no matter how blindly you worship him. He just made a massive strategic blunder.
Putting your hands over your ears screaming “N0-no-no” in response to painful facts is infantile at best.
I was a Trump supporter when most in this forum where touting Cruz. I bought the first excuse because it was Obama's budget (sure). I bought the fact that Trump went to California and examined his prototypes of the walls. Well, a mere couple damn weeks later we have a full blown budget buster and those prototypes are explicitly written out of construction. Gimme a break!
Is Trump so caught up in North Korea and the special council that he allowed himself to be completely humiliated along with his followers? Well... Hell yes!
But dare to criticize and you hear about 12th dimensional chess and get called a pearl clutcher. He signed a steaming pile of dog poop that made pelosi happy and the synchophants are making excuses for him.

Yep. I want the swamp drained. The swamp won today, big time. The original poster said that we lost just one battle today. And that is correct. It’s just one battle. But Waterloo was also just one battle.
So is this Trump’s Waterloo? Most probably not. But morale is a big part of any army. And the Trump army took a big morale hit today. A few more hits like this one and some of that army will go wobbly.
None of which has any bearing on today’s events. We got what we needed and accepted a lot of what we did not want to get it. Need to fix the system. Line item veto and end the Senate filibuster.
