RE:”Many retailers (especially chains) decide to cut their losses and close the stores, retaurants, or supermarkets due to the higher cost of business in security, shoplifting, vandalism and violence.
It creates a “food desert” where there is no place to purchase food locally.”

I live in Maryland so Baltimore city is my favorite showcase of how liberals voting can turn a city into a insane hellhole

Freddie Gray Riots Mayor on radio announced that they would be giving rioters the room to riot and ordered police to stand aside.

Score of public schools flooded due to frozen pipes because furnaces failed (no $$$ for plumbers) .

Maryland taxpayers pay for the majority of Baltimore city public school costs where $$$ spend per student is the highest in the nation yet the scores and graduation is the lowest.

City spent $$$ busing the kids during school-day to DC antigun protest the other day.

City is spending 100s of K$ defending illegals in immigration court.

City went to governor and assembly last year demanding even more $$$ for public schools, just not raising enough taxes.

When they publicly announced they were pulling back police to “give the protesters space”, I hit the roof.

Just hit the roof. I couldn’t believe it. If I were a shop owner or someone with property damage due to their “giving space”, I would have taken legal action to obtain compensation from taxes I had paid to protect me from such things.

Actually Baltimore is another example of 1968 riots turning everything upside down. There were Dems before, but not the pure-commie apologist enablers there are now.

It was a GREAT city. Before 1968. My mother’s beloved city has been ruined.
