Do Americans have the right to own a gun? Of course we do. Its in our Second Amendment... No, the right is NOT in the second amendment - the right is self-evident and inalienable from a higher power than the Constitution. The 2A is merely to instruct what the govt may or may not do with this right.

Absolutely correct. Our rights pre-existed the constitution and are not derived from it. Nowhere are we granted freedom of speech, religion, bearing arms, jury trials and so on in the Constitution. These pre-exist the document. This is a critical point that needs to be harped upon rather often.

They can't argue with the Declaration.
If they do, they're "Declaration deniers", and should be beaten and escorted out of the country they have denied.
