I’m so glad you have overcome this nightmare.
GHB is certainly not a safe drug, It can, however, be a less dangerous alternative for some hopeless alcoholics.
In a saner world pharmaceutical companies would be free to develop and market much safer recreational drugs for those that need such things. Drugs with a antidote that worked very quickly would be a boon too as if an emergency arose you could counteract the effect of the drug and function normally. Imagine an accident involving a child and you in such a drugged stupor you could not help...if the child died, I would pray for my own death as life would no longer be worth living. :-/
Alas, I fear we will never live to see the day when safe, legal drugs are allowed to be created.
