Good article by Daniel Greenfield. However, George Orwell wrote most of it first in his warning to the future , it was called "1984."

Today I am astounded by the brilliance of Orwell. He completed his great novel on the Island of Jura off the Scottish Coast. It is brutal there in the winter.

The following is from Orwell: "The conditions were fairly primitive. Without electricity he used Calor gas for heating water and cooking. The Valor stove and storm lanterns burned paraffin and he burned coal and peat to heat the house in the evenings. The sole means of communication with the outside world was a battery radio. But the weather was surprisingly good...'It is not a cold climate here', he wrote, 'actually the mean temperature is probably warmer than in England, but there is not much sun and a great deal of rain'...."

Jura was a most appropriate place for him to complete his greatest work. He was truly a Sage.

After several months of trying, the Committee members have finally found Russia on a map and are ready to reveal their findings on CNN.

That line says it all about the intellect of those crying out "Russia! Russia! Russia!"

As Greenfield points out, the left loved the USSR and they truly are trying to recreate a similar murderous regime on the ashes of the US. The frightening thing is that the left is able to convince so many people to vote for them. How is it that so many people genuinely believe that a totalitarian dictatorship is a desirable form of government? Do they really have so little ability to comprehend what living in such a system is like for those who are unlucky enough to be subject to it?
