The key premise of the dossier is refuted by circumstantial evidence. Don Jr.met with a Russian lawyer to get dirt on Hillary. If Trump had a direct line to the Kremlin as Steele claims then there would be no need to meet with this Russian lawyer. And the fact that Don Jr.is described as giddy about the meeting refuted the dossier as well. He would not have been giddy if this lady was merely the next in a long line of Russian contacts.
Another example is the comments by Trump at the campaign rally where he suggested that the Russians release the Clinton emails. If he had a direct line to Putin then hed just call him up on the phone. Hed certainly not suggest publicly that the Russians release the info.
Finally the fact that they conducted wire tapping operations for more than a year and got nothing shows that all the BS in the dossier about Page and Cohen being Trump contacts with the Russians is just thatBS.
And his contact wouldn't have to have a special waiver from Obama's DOJ to come and see him.
