I seriously hope you’re not calling me a slushbunny, who’s crying to anyone out of some sense of dependency.

I’m hard core, to the point, and sick of this DOJ, sick of these politicians, and sick of those making excuses for them!

If others are perfectly fine with continually being screwed over by this government, or being lied to endlessly over and over that arrests of the true criminals are coming any day now, while Trump associates are the only ones actually being arested, or even being interviewed by investigators that we know of, then good for them.

But I’m not one of them. I expect RESULTS, not BS. And so far the only one who seems to be getting any results is Mueller, which proves it shouldn’t be that difficult.

Thanks!

I don’t think I was referring to you, but glad to see someone fired up about this, instead of throwing up their hands and saying, everyone is going to get away with it, and oh woe is me, nothing can be done about it. I feel blessed that I live in a country where there is no dictator who would have just rounded them up and shot them (although I often feel some pleasure contemplating just such an approach, even right in open threads on FR). For one thing, there is no difference between dictators, for another, the first one we’re likely to get will be something like Soetero.

Sessions is doing exactly what he’s supposed to, he’s just not busting up the barrels of moonshine for the newspapers like Ness did in Chicago. The breadth of the criminality means there are allied criminals potentially everywhere in the gov’t, but particularly in the entities like the DoJ and FBI which are supposed to enforce the law. Slow and deliberate is better, not least because the prosecutions are going to be going on for years.

When Nixon had a gang of criminals doing breakins, the whole country turned on the actual criminality of that — only the hard core Demwits used it as some partisan pretext; his supporters (and former supporters) didn’t switch parties over it, they were surprised and disappointed. I remember Sirica, who was a Nixon supporter, writing how shocked he was to hear Nixon using blue language on the tapes.

The best result will be for the national opinion of Obama turn about because of his criminal activity — which didn’t start with his swearing in, in any case — and be inextricably linked in the history books. What we’ll probably see instead is that those who voted for him will continue to race-card and otherwise rationalize their way through some incoherent defense of his so-called presidency.
