This is off topic but is Godless worth watching? The trailer looked like it was about some feminist chicks in the old west. I have little interest in the “tough girl” genre.
I will watch nearly anything set in history. But no chick flicks.
My three daughters and I have had to discuss the “tough girl” genre.
It usually ends up with watching on Youtube a 300 lb man hit something and a 100 lb woman (or man) hit something.
Weight has a quality, as does muscle mass.
And I sure as anything not going to go up against a 300 lb man without a gun. And hopefully neither are my daughters.
The trailer is misleading I enjoyed the series. It is very violent with alot of killing.
I found “Godless” to be very good, the wife and I binged the 1st 4 eps.

When I first watched the trailer, I thought the same thing as you (some weird chick flick) but NO. It is a true Western genre and there are male characters (white hat and black hat).. just not a lot of them. I really liked it for this reason: what would happen to a town if all the hubbies died in a mining accident? Now.. what would happen to a Western town where all the women had an “edge” simply by moving there/living in an area that is so rugged? More importantly, would “soft” women (and that is the majority by far) “man” up to save their town and remaining family and friends? My only disclaimer is this: there is one lesbian in the entire cast of characters; however, it is more of a “difference of the character” than anything “graphic”. TBH.. she was my favorite character. Some of her lines and actions made me howl with laughter! I would say watch two or three episodes.. you will know by the end of two if it is your cup of tea. Hugs, Mom
