This article is an example of Salem Witch Trials? It’s the opposite. These women are detailing a culture within the FBI that refuses to hold fair hearings for complaints that are raised, including witnesses and and a process to hear them. While the article itself is anonymously sourced, the allegations are of the kind that can be proven or disproven by looking back at records.

So, yes, if we declare a punitive sentence based on an anonymous accuser, shame on us. If you negate the legitimacy of this situation before an investigation, you’re the one who is participating in the rush to judgement like they did in Salem. I guess your screen name is Vigilanteman so it should be expected.

The problem is not the charges, but the unsubstatiated nature of the accusations. Even slugs like Al Franken deserve due process before they are hanged out to dry.

If, as apparently is the case, the FBI sat on legitimate charges, then the truth SHOULD come out and appropriate pun ishments dished out.
