We had a chance to get rid of this guy. Probably his staff, a la Strom Thurmond during his last term, is running the entire show and all Cochran doing is pushing the vote button.

Cochran has been in frail condition for about six to eight years. His chief-of-staff runs everything and based on what is said....houses Cochran in an apartment of her own house. Pretty lousy mess but that’s the GOP method in Mississippi.

McCain will and is becoming the same way.
His constituents have basically lost representation but hey they voted for him.

I don’t know anything about the governor....is he a Rino Gope? This would influence who he would appoint to replace Sad Cochran
To: C19fan
It would be nice to remove what are essentially carbon blobs at this point, and replace them with actual Conservative Republicans. Send Menendez to the slam and let Christie replace him, that’d be a pretty good year.

Sad when they refuse to retire, same for McCain - actually it’s pathetic.

There is a long standing tradition for senators to die in office.
Politicians are the frontmen for a con. They are the face, the people behind the scenes run the show.

It sounds like Ruth Buzzi Ginsberg might be his “role model”. Hang in there as long as you can still fog a mirror.

The Senate is a glorious pre- hospice country club with magnificent perks. They all want to exit feet first. Doddering old fools who have way overstayed their time.

The sooner people like this guy are gone from the Senate and replaced by people who aren’t Mitch McConnell’s clones and inwardly hostile to President Trump, the better things will get.

There needs to be a 25th Amendment for Senators. President, Speaker, Majority Leader and 2 cabinet officers can remove for incompetence/incontinence.
