Pretty sure no tripod because according to the “official” story, he had to go back and forth between two windows, firing nearly continuously if you listen to the audio.

Apparently there was a bipod according to one of the photographs of the scene.

Well, then that kind of discounts your argument. A bipod requires you to be up close to the window. A tripod allows you to be a little further back, but at the angle from the 32nd floor? No. You’d have to be at the edge.
