Stephen Paddock and Marilou Danley have been know to travel away from the US for 6 months at a time.
Does he have a Middle East Connection? I think that is a valid question.

Lots of Filipinos work in the Middle East, usually as domestic help. If Danley had a niece there, it does not necessarily mean anything significant.
